Private Patrick Davis, 14th ( Pioneer ) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers. He was killed in action in France on 25th September 1918 during the “Advance to Victory ” and is buried in Rocquigny-Equancourt Road British Cemetery, Manancourt, Somme, France. He had been born in Berwick and had enlisted in Newcastle. ( For some reason he served under the name of James Webb). The photographs and illustrations show Allied troops pressing forward against the retreating German Army during the last 100 days of the War.
