Driver John McFeeters

Driver John McFeeters, 39th Battery, 19th Brigade, Royal Artillery. He died from wounds suffered during the Salonika campaign against the Bulgarians on 12th October 1918, aged 32. He was the son of John and Catherine Wallace McFeeters of 32 Low Greens, Berwick and is buried in Karasouli Military Cemetery, Greece. The R.F.A. used the 18 pounder field gun usually in an anti infantry role using both high explosive and shrapnel shells one of which is shown below.
