Second Lieutenant Cecil Victor Thompson, M.I.D., 8th ( Service ) Battalion, att. 6th Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment. He was killed in action in Mesopotamia on 6th February 1917, aged 19. He was the son of Alexander and Annie Seymour of 33 Seymour Gardens, Ilford and is commemorated on the Basra Memorial, Iraq. He had already served in France where he was wounded.
