Leading Aircraftman John Sinton

Leading Aircraftman John Humble Sinton, Royal Air Force. He was lost on Air Operations with 149 Squadron, R.A.F. on 18th December 1939, aged 24. He was the son of George and Hannah Isabella Sinton of Bamburgh and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial. At that time the Squadron flew the Vickers Wellington from R.A.F Mildenhall and was employed on ” Nickel ” raids dropping propaganda leaflets over Germany.
