Captain Ernest Benjamin Lomas Hart, 9th Battalion, Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. He was killed, aged 33, on 24th May 1940 in the fighting near Dunkirk during the B.E.F.’s withdrawal to the port. He was the son of Colonel E.J . Hart, O.B.E. and Mrs Hart. He was married to Beatrice Hart of Pewsey, Wiltshire and is commemorated on the Dunkirk Memorial, Dunkirk, France.
