Sapper Albert Hall

Sapper Albert Hall, 15th Field Coy. Royal Engineers. He was killed in action in France on 25th May 1918 during the German Spring Offensives aged 31. He was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Hall of Bamburgh and the husband of Rebecca Hall of The Wynding, Bamburgh. He is commemorated on the Soissons Memorial, Soissons, France. His brother Philip also fell ( see above ). The photographs show Allied troops in rather makeshift defensives preparing to resist the advancing Germans.
