Erected by ANDREW MILLER the Hirsel in loving memory of MARGARET BRYCE his wife who died 16th December 1915 aged 45 years.
Also his sons SANDY who died 15th April 1940 aged 48 years.
ARCHIE who died 21st March 1941 aged 47 years.
DOUGLAS who died 3rd August 1941 aged 48 years.
Also the above ANDREW MILLER who died 12th June 1947 aged 84 years.
ELLEN his second wife died at Carluke 14th September 1972 aged 97 years.
Commentary
When Andrew Miller and his twin sister Helen were born in 1862 in Berwickshire, their father, Alexander, was 28, and their mother, Ms. Margaret, was 25. He had three sons with Margt Miller between 1893 and 1898. He had three brothers and three sisters.
