In Memory of Colonel CUTHBERT GEORGE COLLINGWOOD, C.B. (1848-1933) of Lilburn Tower sixth in direct descent from RALPH and DOROTHY COLLINGWOOD of East Ditchburn, buried below, and great nephew of Admiral Lord COLLINGWOOD (1748-1810); of his wife DOROTHY (1878-1972) daughter of the Reverend WILLIAM FAWCETT, of Somerford Keynes, Wiltshire;
of their eldest son, Sir EDWARD FOYLE COLLINGWOOD C.B.E., F.R.S. (1900-1970) of lilburn tower, and of their third son ARTHUR CHRISTOPHER COLLINGWOOD (1902-1970) who served in the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers.
This window was given by their two surviving sons, Group Captain CUTHBERT JOHN COLLINGWOOD O.B.E., D.F.C., of Lilburn Tower, and Lieutenant-General Sir (RICHARD) GEORGE COLLINGWOOD K.B.E., C.B., D.S.O.
