In affectionate remembrance of WILLIAM HENRY COLLINGWOOD DICKINS, eldest son of Major G.O. DICKINS, who died 17th May 1885.
This stone is erected by his school fellows
of Murchiston Castle, Edinburgh

Commentary

In 1881 he was living in Middlesbrough aged 28 and was empolyed as a Iron Broker.

Born in Cornhill 14th December 1859

His Grandfather was Frances C Collinwood living in Cornhill House. Also in the house in 1861 George C Dickins, Frances Dickins, Ambrose H Dikins

His father was George and he was born 17th November 1824 in Norfolk he married Francess Collinwoood in 1851 he died in Coldstream.  We have no headstone that I can find.  His father was Watson William Dickins

His mother was Frances Emily Haggerston Collingwood. she died 14th Sept 1867

 

His Brother Ambrose died in Edmonton Alberta in 1940
