Erected by FRANCIS and MARY CHISHOLM in memory of ALISON CHISHOLM their beloved  daughter who died at Shidlaw Dec. 8th 1885, aged 17 years.
 

Death to me short warning gave
And quick took me to the grave
Then haste to Christ made no delay
For no one knows their dying day.
