Sacred to the memory of ROBERT ELLIOT farmer who died at Whitrig 4th October 1887 aged 56 years. Also ISOBEL SADLER ELLIOT grand-daughter who died in infancy. WILLIAM MARSHALL ELLIOT J.P. who died 20th July 1952 aged 86 years. ROBERT ELLIOT R.F.A. who died Fampaux interred at Aubigny-en-Artois 15th June 1917 aged 19 years. ISABELLA MARY FREEMAN RYLE Sept 1869 Oct 1961 elder daughter of ROBERT and AGNES FREEMAN RYLE of Farnacres Hall and Low Fell Co. Durham. Relict of WILLIAM MARSHALL ELLIOT J.P.

Sergeant Robert Elliot," A "Battery ,51st Brigade, Royal Field Artillery killed in action 12 July 1917, aged 19.

He was the son of William and I M Elliot of 94 High Street Coldstream where they ran a chemists shop.

He is buried in Aubginy Communal Cemetery Extension, France. He is also commemorated on the Eccles Memorial.
