Orchard Walk

This project researched a name for a lane that was previously untitled. A survey (or a referendum to use of a modern topical word) of neighbours concluded that 'Orchard Walk' was a very appropriate name, given that many years ago the area was an orchard. Other names for the lane have been bandied over the years, including 'Smith's Lane' after the owner of nearby Orchard House. But the locals agreed that if a person's name appears in the name, it should have been 'Noble' who donated the land for the lane to the Trustees of the Town, essentially the Council.
