Private Robert Scott

Private Robert Scott, 1st Battalion, Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles ). He died in Belgium on 13th April 1918, aged 32, of wounds suffered in action during the German Spring Offensive on the River Lys. .He was the son of Robert and Agnes Scott of Townhead, Newcastleton and is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Flanders, Belgium. The photos show Allied troops in defensive positions.
