Gunner George Kinghorn

Gunner George R. Kinghorn, “A” Battery, 331st Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. He died in France on 17th September 1917 of wounds received in action during the Battle of Third Ypres and is buried in Zuydcoote Military Cemetery, Nord, France. The R.F.A. used the 18 pounder field gun normally in an anti infantry role using high explosive and shrapnel shells. The photographs show Batteries in action.
