Lance Corporal Richard Gibson, 2nd Battalion, Royal Scots. He was lost at sea on the 1st/2nd October 1942 aboard the Japanese cargo liner ” Lisbon Maru ” aged 27. (For fuller details see under George Ford above) He had been born in Linlithgow and was the son of Mr and Mrs Robert Gibson of Gordon and is commemorated on the Sai Wan Memorial, Hong Kong, China.
