Marble cross – Erected in the memory of ELIZA JOSEPHINE REINCKE of Buenos Aires wife of ROBERT TAIT MD Coldstream who died at London 23rd November 1886. Also of the above ROBERT TAIT who died at Coldstream 11th December 1909.
Commentary
Robert Tait was born at Coldstream, he was an M D Surgeon and lived at Castlelaw.
When Robert Tait was born on 28 September 1830 in Coldstream, Berwickshire, his father, Robert, was 34 and his mother, Margaret, was 28. He married Eliza Josephine Reincke on 12 October 1887 in North Brixton, London. He died on 11 December 1909 in his hometown, having lived a long life of 79 years.
Eliza Josephine Reincke was born in 1840 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the daughter of Martina and Frederic. She married Robert Tait on 12 October 1887 in North Brixton, London. She died on 23 November 1888 in London, London, at the age of 48.
Frederic Reincke had one daughter with Martina Rosa Brown Chitty in 1840..
When Martina Rosa Brown Chitty was born in 1814 in Montevideo, Uruguay, her father, Guillermo, was 37, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 27. She had one daughter with Frederic Reincke in 1840. She died on 17 April 1881 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the age of 67.
