Erected in memory of ROBERT HOGGARTH who was drowned at Greenlaw walls 9th April 1857 aged 35 years.

And of JAMES HOGARTH who was also drowned 9th April 1857 aged 28 years.

Also JOSEPH HOGGARTH the beloved son of ROBERT & MARGARET who died 20th September 1876 aged 28 years.

Also of the above named MARGARET HOGGARTH who died 11th May 1903 aged 74 years.
