Private William Blackie

Private William Blackie, 7th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died of wounds in France on 12th September 1915 aged 21. He had been born in Coldstream and was the son of Alexander Blackie of East Morriston, Earlston. He is buried in Noeux-Les-Mines Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. He is commemorated on the Hume War Memorial but as he had been born in Coldstream we feel he should be included in the Coldstream site.
