Acting Sergeant William W. Dunlop, 2nd/5th ( Dumfries and Galloway ) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died at home on 2nd October 1917, aged 32. He was the eldest son of William and Isabella Dunlop and the husband of Elizabeth Bell ( formerly Dunlop ) of 38 Chesser Grove, Edinburgh. He was a born in Gordon, Berwickshire enlisted in Duns and lived in Chirnside. He is buried in Duns Cemetery.
