Private John William Dumma, 8th Battalion, Gordon Highlanders. He died on Service in hospital on 11th June 1915, aged 19 and is buried in Yetholm Parish Churchyard, Roxburghshire. He had been born in Makerstoun and was the son of Elizabeth and the late William Dumma of Yetholm Mains, Yetholm and Galalaw, Kelso. He had enlisted in October 1914 and was with the Battalion at Aldershot when he died in Cambridge Military Hospital in Aldershot.
