Private Thomas Henderson Peden, 1st Battalion, Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles ). He was transferred to the 405th Agricultural Company, Labour Corps and died, aged 33, from pneumonia and influenza on 3rd March 1919 in the Hamilton Military Hospital, Lanarkshire. He had been born in Selkirk and was the son of Peter and the late Alison of Broadmeadows Lodge, Yarrowford and the husband of Grace Peden of Thistle Street, Kirkintilloch. He is buried in Kirkintilloch ( Auld Aisle ) Cemetery. Before enlisting he had been employed as a gardener at Gartshore House near Kirkintilloch.
