Private John Storey Hall, 1st Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. He was killed in action in Belgium on 18th June 1915 and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. He had been born at Cullercoats. The Battalion had just taken part in the Battle of Bellawaarde on 16th June and had suffered very heavy casualties of 15 Officers and 386 Other Ranks of whom 134 were killed or missing.
