Sergeant David W. Edgar, 31st ( Alberta ) Battalion, Canadian Infantry. He was killed in Belgium on 6th June 1916 and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. On that that day the Battalion were in trenches in the Hooge sector of the Ypres Salient and were subjected to a very heavy artillery bombardment and 25 men were killed.
