Private Arthur Purdom

Private Arthur E. M. Purdom, 2nd Battalion, Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry. He died in France on 13th September 1918 of wounds received in action during the “Advance to Victory” aged 19. He was the son of Robert and Emma Purdom of ” Blinkbonny ” Tudor Hill, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham and is buried in Sunken Road Cemetery, Boisleux-St. Marc, France. The photographs and illustrations show Allied troops advancing against the retreating German army during the final 100 days of the War.
