Private Michael Beveridge, East Yorkshire Regiment. ( There is only one Michael Beveridge on the C.W.G.C. site and has his unit as 2nd Battalion, West Yorkshire Regiment ) He was killed in action in France on 19th April 1917 and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Thiepval, Somme, France. He had originally joined the Army Service Corps but transferred into the West Yorks in December 1916. The obituary in the ” Berwickshire Advertiser ” also states his Regiment to be the West Yorks.
