Sergeant Harry Dickson

Sergeant/Air Gunner Harry Dickson, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He died on Service on the 27th September 1943. He was the son of William and Mary Dickson of Roberton and is buried in Roberton Churchyard. He was lost in a training accident whilst with 19 Operational Training Unit flying in an Armstrong Whitworth Whitley from Kinloss, Moray. ( A large number of aircraft from Kinloss crashed primarily because older aircraft were used for training by 19 O.T.U., bad weather and inexperienced crews ).
