Private James Ferguson, 8th ( Service ) battalion, Cameron Highlanders. he died at Home from pneumonia brought on by an attack of measles, aged 18, on the 27th January 1915. He had been born in Leith and was the son of Daniel and Mrs M. Ferguson of Borthwick Shiels, Roberton and is buried in Inverness ( Tomnahurich ) cemetery. His brother David fell in action in 1918 – see above.
