Aircraftsman First Class Richard Dodds, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He died in the Far East on Active Service, aged 29. on the 26th May 1942. He had been born in North Berwick and was the son of Richard and Margaret Dodds of Reston and the husband of Helen Dodds of Berwick-upon-Tweed. He had been educated at the Berwickshire High School, Duns Before becoming a carpenter in Reston. He accidentally drowned and is commemorated on the Singapore Memorial.
