Private Adam McLeish, 2nd/4th( Border ) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died on Service from pneumonia in Trinity Military Hospital in Hawick on 13th December 1915, aged 19 and is buried in Hawick ( Wellogate ) Cemetery. He had been born in Polwarth and was the son of Andrew and Isabella McLeish of Marlyrig, Cothill, Polworth.
