Private Robert James Young, “B” Coy.,2nd Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died in a Casualty Clearing Station in France on 21st October 1918, aged 20, of wounds suffered in action. He had been born in Gullane, East Lothian and was the fifth son of Thomas and Janet Young of Nether Tofts, Hawick. He is buried in Grevillers British Cemetery, nr. Bapaume, Pas de Calais, France. The Battalion had been in action for the last time in the War near Selle on the 20th where the German positions had been captured with 6 Killed and 49 wounded.
