Private James Henry Savage, 12th ( Service ) Battalion, Highland Light Infantry, transferred to the 122nd Battalion Labour Corps. He died on Active Service in France from sunstroke on the 21st August 1918 aged 32. Before enlisting he had been employed as a gamekeeper at Mertoun Kennels and he is buried in Pernes British Cemetery, Pernes, France.
