Squadron Quartermaster Sergeant Thomas Mann. 18th ( Queen Mary’s Own ) Hussars. He died in the 20th Casualty Clearing Station in Belgium of pneumonia, aged 28, on 8th December 1918. He had been born in Lauder to Robina Mann of Darnick Vale, Darnick, Melrose and is buried in Charleroi Communal Cemetery, Belgium. He had been a Regular soldier and served throughout the conflict.
