Private John Hobkirk, 4th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. ( Thought to be John Hopkirk). He died on Service at Home of pneumonia on 23rd February 1915, aged 17. He had been born at Sorrowfield Mains, Melrose to John and the late Susan Hopkirk of Threepwood Lodge and Townhead, Newstead, Melrose and is buried in Lauder Cemetery, Berwickshire.
