Flight Officer Emily Davidson, Womens Auxiliary Air Force. She died on Active Service from pneumonia on 24th November 1943 aged 47. She had been born in Lanarkshire to the late John and Emily Davidson and she is buried in Leuchars Cemetery, Fife. ( She had given Leuchars as her normal residence. She had been serving at R.A.F. Castle Kennedy, Wigtonshire when she fell ill. Castle Kennedy was used for training in Air Gunnery with Avro Ansons and Miles Martinets towing drogues so budding Air Gunners could hone their shooting skills in the air.
