Private Arthur Luke, 9th ( Service ) Battalion, Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles ). He died in France on 26th March 1917, aged 36, of wounds received and is buried in Fauberg D’Amiens, Cemetery, Arras, France. He was the husband of Margaret Laidlaw Luke of Home Farm, Makerstoun, Kelso. He had ben born in Carham, Northumberland and had enlisted in Berwick-upon-Tweed. He had been transferred from the Royal Scots Fusiliers where he had first enlisted.
