Private Arthur Caborn, 10th Battalion, Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He was killed in action in France on 9th April 1917, aged 26, during the Battle of Arras. He was the son of Joseph and Mary Caborn of Mickleover, Derby and is buried in Cojeul British Cemetery, St. Martin-Sur-Coteul, France. Before the war he had worked as a footman for Mrs Askew Robertson of Ladykirk House, Norham. ( The” Berwickshire Advertiser ” has his rank as Sergeant ).
