Lance Sergeant John Hinson, 510th Field Coy. Royal Engineers. He was killed in action in Normandy on 17th July 1944, aged 28. He was the son of David and Elizabeth Hinson and the husband of Mary Hinson of Willington, Co. Durham. He is buried in Fontenay-Le-Pesnel War Cemetery, Tessel, Calvados, Normandy, France.
