Guardsman William Thomson, 1st Battalion, Scots Guards. He was killed in action in Italy on 6th June 1944, aged 35. He was the son of Richard and Jessie Thomson and the husband of Edith Thomson of 25 Horsemarket, Kelso. Before enlisting he had been employed with Roxburgh County Council. He is buried in the Naples War Cemetery, Naples, Italy and his Headstone is inscribed ” Beloved Husband Of Edith Crozier. Christ Will Clasp The Chain Closer When We Meet Again”.
