Private William Pringle

Private William Pringle, 3rd/4th ( Reserve ) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died at Anderson Sanatorium, Hawick on 2nd June 1918, aged 21 and is buried in Stichill Parish Churchyard, Stichill, Kelso. He was the son of the late James and Agnes Pringle of Blackwood, Lesmahagow. He was also the nephew and adopted son of Archibald and Sarah Pringle of The Schoolhouse, Stichill. The Battalion was designated a training Battalion which then sent on men to the other combatant Battalions in the Regiment.
