Private William Lockie, 1st Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He was killed in action in Belgium on 5th November during the First Battle of Ypres and is buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery, Zonnebeke, Flanders, Belgium. He was a Regular soldier and his Battalion was part of the 1st ( Guards ) Division which also comprised 1st Coldstream Guards, 1st Scots Guards, 1st Black Watch and the London Scottish. The photographs and illustrations show British troops during the Battle.
