Private John Kilbride, 7/8th Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He was killed in action in France on 23rd July 1918 and is buried in Buzancy Military Cemetery, France. He fell during the Second Battle of the Marne in the advance towards the village of Buzancy. In this hard fought advance the casualties were heavy with 95 Other Ranks being killed and 214 wounded. Officer casualties were 2 killed and 7 wounded.
