Private James Cosser

Private James Cosser, 10th Battalion, Canadian Infantry Forces. He was killed in action on 9th April 1917 on the first day of the Battle of Arras during the spectacular capture of Vimy Ridge by Canadian Forces. He was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Cosser and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial. This memorial was raised to commemorated the 11,169 Canadian Soldiers missing presumed killed during the Great War. ( The image of the Vimy Memorial is by courtesy and copyright of Mark Wilson ).
