Private William Romanis Walker Jardine, 5th ( Service) Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He died from wounds at Home, aged 19, on the 15th May 1918 and is buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey, England. He had been born in Galashiels and was the son of Agnes Walker and the stepson of William Jardine of Galashiels. He had been living in Ullapool when he enlisted at Dingwall. He was wounded during the German Spring Offensives and after evacuation died in the King George Hospital, Lambeth, London.
