Private Thomas Donaldson, 1st/4th (Border) Battalion, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died on Service, aged 19, between 1st and 30th November 1917 whilst a Prisoner of War and is buried in Haidar Pasha Cemetery, Istanbul, Turkey. He had been born in Galashiels and was the son of Alexander and Joyce Donaldson of 32 High Buckholmside, Galashiels. He had served in Egypt and Palestine where he became P.O.W.
