Private John Henderson

Private John Henderson, 7th (Service) Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He died from wounds in France, aged 22, on the 25th April 1917 during the Battle of Arras. He had been born in Galashiels and was the son of John and Marion Henderson of Galashiels and he is buried in Duisans British Cemetery, Etrun, France where his Headstone is inscribed “Ever Remembered”. He had enlisted in April 1915 and had joined his Battalion in France in July 1915. The photos show troops during the Battle.
