Private James Easton

Private James Easton, (possibly) 2nd Battalion, Royal Scots. He died from wounds in Belgium, aged 22, on the 17th March 1916. He was born in Hume Berwickshire and was the son of Walter and Mary Easton of Rawflat, Ancrum and Haymount, Makerstoun, Roxburghshire. He had been employed on Rawflat farm when he enlisted in December 1914 and in August 1915 he was posted to the Royal Scots in August 1915. He died in the 10th Casualty Clearing Station and is buried in Lijssenhoek Military Cemetery, Flanders, Belgium.
