Private Frank Omond Fairholm, 2nd Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He was killed in action in Belgium, aged 28, on the 11th May 1915 and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Flanders, Belgium. He had been born in Hawick and was the son of the late William and Ann Fairholm formerly of Wilton, Hawick. Before enlisting in November 1914 he had been employed as a power loom tuner at the Botany Mills, Galashiels.
