Private Andrew Donaldson, Kings Own Scottish Borderers. He died at Home, aged 24, on the 5th March 1919 and is buried in Eastlands Cemetery, Galashiels. He had been born in Galashiels and was the son of Alexander and Margaret Donaldson of Glebe Place, Galashiels. He had worked at the Waverley Ironworks in Galashiels and had been a member of the Territorial, K.O.S.B. since 1912 but did not serve overseas. Due to illness he was discharged from the Army in August 1916 and was awarded the Silver War Badge.
