Private Adam Hall, Army Veterinary Corps. He died on Service, aged 34, in the Royal Herbert Military Hospital, Woolwich, London. He had been born in Galashiels and was the son of the late Adam and Janet Hall formerly of King Street, Galashiels. His attempts to enlist were rejected as medically unfit but his expertise with horses led him to the A.V.C. three weeks after leaving Galashiels he contracted pneumonia and died in hospital. He is buried in Eastlands Cemetery, Galashiels.
