Lance Corporal Francis Arthur Herbertson, Motor Transport attd. 2nd Signals Battalion, Royal Army Service Corps. He died on Service in France, aged 34, on the 24th April 1919. He had been born in Galashiels and was the son of Robert and Janet Herbertson of Galashiels and the husband of Jane Herbertson of 19 Douglas Street, Galashiels. He had been employed as a cycle mechanic in Galashiels when he enlisted landing in France in May 1915 He served throughout the War and died in an accident. He is buried in Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille, France.
